James Earl Jones – Infantry

James Earl Jones has received considerable success in the entertainment scene over the past couple of years. What many do not know about him is that he has served his country on many fronts. During the Korean War, James was commissioned as a second lieutenant for the first time. He reported at Fort Benning in 1953 for his Infantry Officers Basic Course. He went ahead and received training to be a member of the United States Army Rangers. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to complete the course. Prior to leaving the army, he was able to make it to first lieutenant. Although his success in military was limited, he was a talented actor and made it big in showbiz. His breakthrough role was his voicing of the second most powerful Sith Lord in the successful Star Wars. He was also the father of Lion King, the 1994 animated film.
